All-or-nothing thinking sounds decisive.
In practice, it is often exhausting.
It tells a person that if they cannot do the full workout, they may as well do nothing.
If they cannot write the entire piece, they may as well wait.
If the day is already off track, they may as well give up and try again tomorrow.
This mindset is seductive because it creates clean categories.
Success or failure.
On track or off track.
Disciplined or lazy.
But real life rarely moves in such neat lines.

The return after a lapse.

The person who allows partial progress stays in the game longer.
They recover faster.
They waste less energy on shame.
They build a relationship with effort that can survive real life.
That is the goal.
Not a life where every day is ideal.
A life where progress can still happen when the day is not.
So the next time the mind says, if it cannot be done properly, do not do it at all, it helps to answer with something steadier:
Do the version that fits.
Count it.
Continue tomorrow.
